Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work to a family-friendly schedule, starting and finishing at home with a RAC van, fuel card and complete toolkit provided.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll join a trusted, long-standing organisation. Expect market-competitive pay and ample overtime opportunities as you support members on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and ensuring quick, confident solutions.
• Use your tools, diagnostic kit, and technician expertise to get the job done for RAC members.
