Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs and help members continue their journeys quickly and safely.

As part of a structured development programme, you’ll gain hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities. Expect demand-led 40-hour weeks with optional overtime and a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside mechanical repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
• Work independently to support members and develop diagnostic capability.

Skills

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maint.
