Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and keep the UK moving. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years' experience, you’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency support across the country.

You'll start and finish from home, work ~40 hours per week with optional overtime, and receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Alternative: 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Perform fault diagnostics and provide quick, confident solutions on-site.
• Start and finish your day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
