Job summary

A Roadside Technician role with RAC in the Harlow cluster area offers a strong base salary and rewards for performance. You will deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending each day from home and working within your local region.

The package includes a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic tools, plus opportunities for bonuses and enhanced overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns across the UK.
• Repair faults such as batteries, tyres and other roadside issues.
• Operate from home base and service members in your local area.
• Utilise RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit provided.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence
