Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. The role starts from your local area and involves home-based starts with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime.

Eligible candidates should have an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ technician experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
• Work independently with latest diagnostic technology while providing excellent customer service.
