Job summary

RAC Chelmsford cluster is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK with local, demand-led shifts.

You'll work from a home-based setup within your local area while developing through a structured pathway and IMI accreditation opportunities. The role offers a strong base pay and a realistic OTE with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years experience
• Or 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road
• Work independently to diagnose faults and support members in their local area
