Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work on vehicles across the UK. Start and finish at home, with a RAC van and full uniform provided, plus a diagnostic kit and fuel card.

We offer a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) and a realistic OTE of (£60,000–£61,000), with overtime and bonuses for top performers. Join a long-established service trusted for 125+ years.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish every day at home, with a RAC van and tools provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
