Job summary

RAC Motoring Services in the UK is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the country. You’ll start and finish your day at home, supported by an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit.

The role combines technical skill with customer service in a fast-paced environment. Base salary £36,400 with a realistic OTE around £60,000–£61,000, with bonuses and overtime enhancing earning

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Start and end your day at home, with a dedicated RAC van and tools.
