Job summary
The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely using the latest diagnostic technology.
Starting with a base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £61,000, the role offers 40-hour weeks with optional overtime, a structured development pathway, IMI accreditation, and generous benefits
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
- Alternatively, 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
- Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
- Work independently to help members continue their journeys safely.
- Utilize the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults.
