Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to repair and diagnose roadside issues, helping members continue their journeys across the UK. You will work independently, using modern diagnostic tools and providing reassuring service on every call.

This role offers structured development, good pay, and opportunities for accreditation through the IMI, with a focus on skill growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience or 5+ years in a similar role and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs using diagnostic technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs to get members moving again.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance during breakdowns.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to identify faults and guide repair decisions.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working independently across the UK.
