Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. You will work on varied diagnoses, provide confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely with the latest diagnostic tools.

Starting from your driveway with demand-led shifts, you’ll have access to a structured development programme, IMI accreditation, and a clear path to career progression within a trusted roadside services provider.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside diagnostics and repairs.
• Deliver rapid, safe, on‑scene roadside assistance across the UK.
• Utilise diagnostic technology to identify faults and restore journeys quickly.
