Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and help members continue their journeys safely—each day bringing new challenges.

With a structured development programme and IMI accreditation, you’ll grow your skills while earning a strong base pay of £36,400 and realistic OTE around £61,000. Flexible shifts and overtime are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely
• Work independently using the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road
