Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide fast solutions and support members in getting back on the road safely.

The role offers a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts, opportunities for overtime, a structured development pathway, and IMI accreditation potential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, develop solutions and maintain high customer service standards.
