National breakdown company is seeking a Roadside Technician (field based) to provide on-site roadside assistance. Location: Milton Keynes. The role offers a strong salary, overtime, and bonus opportunities with extensive training and progression options.

40 hours weekly, shifts 6am–12pm, with overtime and vehicle-based work from the roadside. Excellent benefits and career growth potential within a national team.

Qualifikationen

• Must have Level 2 (or Level 3 preferred) in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no bans).

Aufgaben

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs, incl. battery changes and wheel changes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible to restore mobility.
• Advise members on next steps and recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.

Roadside Technician (Field based) providing roadside assistance for a national breakdown company with over 15 million members. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Location: Milton Keynes

Pay / salary: £36,400 OTE: In Excess of £60,000, opportunity to earn 70-80k+

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule

40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and / or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role

• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.

What youll need to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
