Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Roadside Technician (Field based) in Bromley to provide roadside assistance for a national breakdown company. Base salary £41,600 with OTE up to £65,000. Permanent, full-time with overtime and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities include responding to breakdowns, performing mechanical/electrical repairs at roadside, diagnosing faults, and advising customers on next steps. Requires Level 2–3 in light vehicle maintenance and a valid UK driving licence.

Pay / salary: Base: £41,600 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £65,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role

40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and / or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.

What you'll need to be considered for the Roadside Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
