Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Mechanic who can diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs. You’ll be the calm, capable problem-solver for RAC members, managing your own toolkit and keeping the van stocked for diverse on-call jobs.

Flexibility is key: shifts vary between early mornings and late evenings, with potential weekends and bank holidays. A full UK driving licence is required and you’ll join an established, supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to keep customers moving.
• Manage your own toolkit and keep your RAC van stocked.
• Prepare and file reports with precision.
