Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Mechanic who will diagnose faults and decide the best fix on the roadside. You’ll be calm under pressure, connect with customers, and be a proud ambassador for the RAC.

Expect shift patterns across early mornings to late nights, a 40-hour week, and a UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. Training and development pathways are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Demonstrated diagnostic and roadside repair capability.
• Ability to manage tooling and reports with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on the roadside and determine the right fix.
• Assist each member and keep motorists moving.
• Read situations, call the right solution, and support the member.
• Manage your kit, keep your van stocked, and handle reports with precision.
