Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is hiring a Roadside Mechanic to diagnose faults and perform on-site repairs for RAC members. You will manage your vehicle toolkit and diagnostic kit, ensuring prompt, safe fixes and clear communication with customers.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, with a structured development pathway and the potential to earn up to £61,000 withLondon weighting if applicable. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (alternative).
• Must hold a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside/vehicle repairs.
• Manage toolkit, van stock, and diagnostic equipment.
• Make sound, prompt decisions to fix or support the member on site.
• Communicate clearly with RAC members and coordinate with colleagues.
