Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and assist members during breakdowns with confidence and courtesy.

Expect to work remotely from home, travel to call-outs in your RAC van, and enjoy a competitive base pay with strong OTE. Full UK driving licence is required, and night allowances apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK
• Assist with emergency breakdown support and fault-finding
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members
