Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics in Dover is seeking a Customs Clearance Operator to manage all customs clearances at the site. You will calculate duties and taxes, enter data into systems such as CDS, Destin8 and CNS, and issue documents to ensure timely clearance for shipments.

You will coordinate with customs, subcontractors and customers, maintain compliance with current laws, and provide out-of-hours support when required.

Qualifications

• Educated in Maths and English to GCSE level (A-C).
• Able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in customs or road freight environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process road freight customs clearances accurately within laws and regulations.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and government agencies to prepare and process clearances.
• Use customs software to enter details and generate necessary documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and advise on import/export requirements.
