Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Customs Clerk for its Dover operation. The role focuses on preparing and submitting import/export declarations and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years in customs brokerage, be proficient with CargoWise, and maintain accurate records while providing excellent customer service. Expect a weekend on-call rota on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within customs brokerage.
• Good knowledge of UK customs procedures and regulations.
• Experience preparing and submitting import, export and transit customs declarations.
• Proficiency with CargoWise.
• Fast and accurate typing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing entries.
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy customs environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import, export and transit customs declarations.
• Ensure customs entries are completed accurately and in compliance with UK regulations.
• Process customs documentation efficiently with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with customers, hauliers and internal teams to move shipments smoothly.
• Resolve customs queries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate customs records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and company procedures.
• Support the customs team during busy periods.
• Deliver high levels of customer service while meeting deadlines.
• Participate in a remote on-call rota covering one weekend per month.
