We are looking for a Loss Prevention Crime Centre Operator to join our dedicated team, providing essential Loss Prevention and Security support to our Retail sites. Reporting to the Crime Centre Manager, you will be a key part of our Loss Prevention Crime Centre, responsible for proactive and retrospective CCTV reviews across allocated retail sites. The role involves rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- Proactively use CCTV to monitor areas of known stock loss.
- Liaise with on-site officers & store teams to detect & deter anything that may cause a risk to the business.
- Record all events and actions accurately.
- Monitor risk intelligence software and news/media for global incidents impacting the team and brand.
- Appropriately escalate incidents.
- Respond to identified incidents, contact those affected, and offer support.
- Assist in the management of major incidents, providing communication for command, control, and crisis management teams.
- Ensure all incidents are dealt with and logged in accordance with procedures.
- Create and disseminate intelligence & evidence packages to relevant internal parties and/or external agencies.
- Submit detailed and comprehensive reports using various IT systems.
- Identify and elevate fraudulent activity using data sources.
- Escalate Loss Prevention related privacy concerns to your line manager.
- Ensure the Crime Centre operates with safety as a priority.
- Respond to telephone and email queries and various administration duties.
- Monitor and record details of incidents/accidents on sites for LP/operational management in line with company procedures.
- Ensure evidential material is well presented, easily accessible and admissible.
- Assist with training new team members within the Crime Centre.
- Meet agreed performance standards set by the Crime Centre Manager.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of CCTV systems.
- A good understanding of stock loss, empty packaging, and completing accurate and detailed reports.
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other team members.
- Excellent level of IT skills.
- The ability to react quickly and effectively to incidents.
- Is proactive and able to use your own initiative.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong prioritisation skills for workload management.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team, or with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrable understanding of the need to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
- Understands and takes ownership of decisions.
