Job summary

Places Developments in Ipswich is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to help deliver our housing developments. You will closely support the Site Manager and project team, coordinating daily activities to keep work progressing safely and to high quality standards.

In this hands-on role you will develop site management experience while contributing to homes customers can be proud of, with opportunities to deputise and manage snagging in collaboration with homeowners.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation required.
• SMSTS qualification mandatory.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• First Aid certificate valid.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Previous experience in housebuilding or residential construction.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity and programme delivery.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep progress on track.
• Deputise for the Site Manager and help maintain site management and discipline.
• Liaise with new homeowners and coordinate snagging completion.
