Job summary

Places Developments, part of Places for People, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support delivery of a housing development. You'll work with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate day-to-day site activity, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

In this hands-on role you will promote safe practices, monitor build quality, conduct site inductions, plan work packages and coordinate logistics to minimise risk.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation and SMSTS required.
• First Aid certificate and Scaffold Inspection qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and NHBC/building control knowledge essential.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site management and delivery to programme and budget.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor build quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, activities and site logistics.
• Liaise with contractors, NHBC, suppliers and homeowners to keep deadlines on track.
