Job summary

Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of one of our developments. Working closely with the Site Manager and project team, you will coordinate daily on-site activities, ensure safety, quality and programme adherence.

The role requires CSCS supervisor accreditation, SMSTS, First Aid, scaffold inspection qualification, NHBC knowledge and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Health and safety awareness and best practices on site.
• Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and keep tasks on track.
• Proactive, organized and able to deputise for the Site Manager when needed.
• Strong IT and communication skills to document progress and issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity, ensuring it aligns with programme, budget and quality standards.
• Promote safe working practices and foster a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality at each build stage and follow Build Stage Inspection processes.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics to minimise risks.
• Collaborate with contractors, NHBC and other stakeholders to keep activity progressing on schedule.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required and maintain site discipline.
• Coordinate snagging with new homeowners and ensure timely completion.
