Job summary

Laing O'Rourke, a leading international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia, is looking for experienced rig operators to join our directly employed teams in the UK.

Key duties include directing the rig operator, assisting with rig set-up, establishing exclusion zones, directing excavator operations within the exclusion zone, assisting with rig maintenance and ensuring lifting plans

Qualifications

• Must hold a CPCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue).

Responsibilities

• Direct the rig operator in all movements ensuring full visibility
• Assist with rig set-up including position, levels and verticality
• Establish and maintain exclusion zones
• Direct excavator operations within the exclusion zone
• Assist with rig maintenance tasks such as refuelling
• Ensure lifting operations follow approved lifting plans
• Support safe working practices across all piling activities
