Job summary

Laing O'Rourke on site in Leiston is seeking an experienced piling rig operator to lead safety and install piles per drawings, while performing daily checks and routine rig maintenance. You will work under strict safety standards and report any non-conformities, maintaining a clean, well-organised rig environment.

The role requires a CPCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue) with preferred experience in LDA/CFA piling; you will follow bankman directions and assist with rigging tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• CPCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue) is required.
• Experience in LDA / CFA piling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices.
• Ensure works comply with the agreed specification and raise NCR's with Site Foreman.
• Carry out, report and record daily checks on the piling rig.
• Ensure greasing and light maintenance is carried out daily.
• Operate the rig safely in line with manufacturer and company instructions.
• Operate within the piling exclusion zone.
• Install piles in accordance with drawings and schedules.
• Record pile details including depths and any obstructions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the rig at all times.
• Follow directions from the rig banksman for all movements.
• Assist in rigging up and de-rigging
• Complete daily cab sheets
• Assist in general site operations where required
