Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Batch Plant Operative to join our on-site team in Leiston, UK. You will assist with deliveries, operate conveyors, carry out plant maintenance, and support routine cleaning to keep our batching operations running smoothly.

Experience with plant/machinery is preferred. On-site work includes driving mixer trucks and forklifts, taking samples for quality control, and supporting general operations on site.

Job description

Our highly trained and directly employed teams deliver some of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for experienced individuals to join our team. BATCH PLANT OPERATIVE Duties:

Accepting and receiving deliveries
Operating conveyors to fill storage bins
Carrying out plant maintenance and industrial cleaning
Operating plant systems via control room screens
Driving mobile plant including mixer trucks and forklifts
Taking samples to ensure quality control
Supporting general operational activities on site. Relevant plant/machinery experience preferred
