Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking Piling Rig Attendants to join our Port Talbot team and contribute to major UK infrastructure projects.

You will direct the piling rig during movements, assist with setup and maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with lifting plans and site procedures. Training and long-term career prospects are highlighted in this directly employed role.

Responsibilities

• Direct the piling rig during movements and stay visible to the operator.
• Guide rig setup, check position, levels and verticality against references.
• Set up exclusion zones and direct excavator work within zones.
• Assist with routine maintenance, refuelling and upkeep of equipment.
• Ensure lifting operations follow the approved lifting plan and site procedures.

Laing O'Rourke is seeking Piling Rig Attendants to join our team in Port Talbot.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 10-hour shifts
• Overtime available

Key Duties

• Direct the piling rig during all movements, ensuring you remain visible to the operator at all times.
• Guide the rig operator during piling set-up, checking position, levels and verticality against reference points.
• Set up and maintain exclusion zones around the piling rig.
• Direct excavator operations within exclusion zones during spoil removal.
• Assist the rig operator with routine maintenance, including refuelling and general upkeep of equipment.
• Ensure lifting operations are carried out according to the approved lifting plan.
• Follow approved safe working methods, risk assessments and site procedures at all times.
