Job summary

Expanded is recruiting for a Site Piling Operative at Sizewell to join a specialist team delivering critical infrastructure projects in the UK. You will lead safety on site, operate and maintain the piling rig, install piles according to drawings, and record depths and any obstructions with meticulous detail.

The role requires a CPCS Blue card and proven experience with LDA or CFA piling; routine site duties include daily checks, maintenance, and collaboration with the rig banksman and foreman.

Qualifications

• Active CPCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in LDA / CFA piling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the achievement of safety targets and maintain zero tolerance of unsafe practices.
• Ensure works comply with the specification and raise NCRs with Site Foreman.
• Carry out, report and record daily checks on the piling rig.
• Maintain greasing and light maintenance daily.
• Operate the rig safely in line with manufacturer and company instructions.
• Install piles in accordance with drawings and schedules.
• Record pile details including depths and obstructions.
• Follow directions from the rig banksman for all movements.
• Assist in rigging up and de-rigging.
• Complete daily cab sheets.
• Assist in general site operations where required.

Our highly trained and directly employed teams deliver some of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for experienced individuals to join our team.

Duties

• Lead the achievement of Laing O'Rourke safety targets and maintain zero tolerance of unsafe working practices
• Ensure works comply with the agreed specification and raise NCR's with Site Foreman
• Carry out, report and record daily checks on the piling rig
• Ensure greasing and light maintenance is carried out daily
• Operate the rig safely in line with manufacturer and company instructions
• Operate within the piling exclusion zone
• Install piles in accordance with drawings and schedules
• Record pile details including depths and any obstructions
• Maintain cleanliness of the rig at all times
• Follow directions from the rig banksman for all movements
• Assist in rigging up and de-rigging
• Complete daily cab sheets
• Assist in general site operations where required

Qualifications
