Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a general labourer to support depot operations in the UK. You will assist with loading, unloading, and movement of tools, equipment, and materials, and operate workshop and site equipment safely under instruction.

The role emphasises working as part of a team to meet project schedules, maintain clean work areas, and follow health and safety practices. Training will be provided for required equipment and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction, industrial, or depot environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work safely with tools, equipment and machinery (training provided where necessary).
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
  • Good awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

  • Work as part of a team to help meet project schedules and operational targets.
  • Assist other departments within the depot when required to maintain workflow and productivity.

Qualifications
  • CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
  • Any relevant training certificates (manual handling, abrasive wheels, etc.) are beneficial.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
  • Willingness to undertake additional training as required for the role
  • Forklift or lifting‑equipment experience would be an advantage
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused approach to work.
