Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Holywood is seeking aChef to join our team on a 37.5 hour week, Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm. You will prepare and cook food to a high standard, ensuring HACCP compliance and service readiness across outlets.

You’ll provide excellent customer service and work closely with the team to maintain service quality and timeliness. The role includes admin duties such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, cash handling, and daily sales reporting, plus opportunity to progress within a

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience.
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP.
• Previous management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually.
• Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in contract catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service.
• Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to all facility users.
• Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
• Complete admin tasks: record food temperatures, update cleaning schedules, cash up tills, record daily sales figures.
• Complete bookwork: purchasing, cash handling, banking and management of weekly ETA.
• Report defective equipment or surfaces to Head Office as required.
• Ensure opening and closing of outlets are carried out in line with company procedures.

Education

NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/1&2 or above

The Role:

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time and to the highest possible standard
• Completing any administration as requested which may include recording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules, cashing uptillsand recording daily sales figures on the system.
• Complete bookwork procedures in line with company requirements;in particular theadministration of purchasing, cash handling,bankingand management of the weekly estimated trading account (ETA)
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces etc. to the relevant Head Office department
• Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried outin accordance withCompany procedures.
