Job summary

A leading catering service provider in Lisburn is seeking an experienced culinary professional to prepare, cook and serve food to exceptional standards. The role involves ensuring adherence to HACCP regulations and providing top-tier customer service while managing daily operations. Ideal candidates will have previous culinary and management experience, along with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Qualifications such as NVQ 2 & 3 or City & Guilds are preferred, along with a strong dedication to quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have previous culinary experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP regulations is essential.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are necessary.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team is essential.
• Experience in a contract catering environment is preferred.
• NVQ Level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or above.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to high standards, adhering to HACCP regulations.
• Ensure service counter is ready for customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Complete administration tasks as requested.
• Manage weekly estimated trading account and cash handling.
• Report any defective equipment to management.
• Ensure compliance with opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried out in accordance with Company procedures.

The Role

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service.
• Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility.
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
• Completing any administration as requested which may include recording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules, cashing up tills and recording daily sales figures on the system.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures in line with company requirements; in particular the administration of purchasing, cash handling, banking and management of the weekly estimated trading account (ETA).
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces etc. to the relevant Head Office department.
• Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried out in accordance with Company procedures.

The Person

• Previous culinary experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP.
• Previous management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually.
• Previous experience working in a contract catering environment.
• NVQ level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds 706 / 1 & 2 or above.
