Job summary

Mount Charles in Garvagh is seeking a dedicated individual for a role in catering that involves food preparation and adherence to health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, previous management experience, and a thorough understanding of HACCP principles.

This position offers 30 hours of work per week, with rewards including annual leave, a pension scheme, and employee assistance programs. Applicants should have qualifications such as NVQ level 2 & 3 or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced catering/hospitality environment.
  • Previous experience working in a contract catering environment.
  • Basic statutory training required for safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to an exceptional standard.
  • Complete bookwork procedures in line with company requirements.
  • Induct, train and appraise employees as per company procedures.
  • Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies are adhered to.
  • Comply with HACCP regulations as necessary.

Skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work successfully as part of a team
Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP
Previous management/supervisory experience
Strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills

Education

NVQ level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or above

Working Pattern
  • 30 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:30am – 5:30pm

The Role
  • To ensure all food is prepared and cooked to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to
  • Complete bookwork procedures in line with company requirements
  • Induct, train and appraise employees as per the Company procedures
  • Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Comply with HACCP regulations as necessary
  • Ensure everyone in the team are following COSHH procedures for the use of chemicals
The Person
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced catering/ hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP
