Mount Charles is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for Dundonald Ice Bowl. You will perform caretaking and conference setup, support deliveries, and assist in moving items and managing access for contractors, with an eye for safety and service.

The role suits a self-motivated individual with a flexible schedule. Working pattern is 4 hours per week on Saturdays, 10am–2pm, with benefits including holidays, pension, and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Caretaking and conference support, setting up rooms to customer needs.
• Accompany energy deliveries and take energy readings.
• Open rooms for contractors and coordinate access with reception/facilities.
• General porterage and movement of items and deliveries as directed.
• Gate Lodge duties and directing visitors during shift times.
• Support Student Services and Residential teams; report safety issues.
• Audit fixtures and report faults to Facilities Manager.

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Dundonald Ice bowl. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern:

• 4 hours per week
• Saturday

The Role:

• Caretaking/Conference – setting up of rooms to customer needs. Meeting customers out of hours.
• Accompanying energy deliveries. Taking energy readings.
• Meeting contractors – opening up rooms/areas to allow contractor access upon request from Greenmount Campus Reception and/or Facilities Manager.
• General Portering. Delivering of items/deliveries and movement of furniture as directed by Facilities Services Manager. Delivering of post bags to various locations.
• Carrying out Gate Lodge protocols. Manning the Gate Lodge during the 0800 to 1600 shift as directed to by Facilities Manager – directing traffic – meeting customers.
• Supporting the Student Services Manager and the Residential Support Team. Reporting of student health and safety issues and any incidents of misbehaviour.
• Audits of fixtures, fittings and furniture – upon request from Facilities Manager – reporting of faults to Facilities Manager.
• Carrying out of Water Flushing in buildings as directed by Facilities Manager

The Person:

• Self-motivated, working independently and on own initiative
• Full driving license

• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis .
