Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking an experienced Cleaning Operative to join our Belfast team at Radius Divis Street. You will be responsible for cleaning and servicing your area to the required standards, with tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Working hours are flexible with options including four hours per week, two hours per day twice a week, within 08:30–17:00. Training is provided, with opportunities for development and access to our pension and rewards programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and servicing areas to required standards.
• Customer-focused with good eye for detail.
• Good time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas efficiently to required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely following COSHH guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment correctly after training.
• Report faulty equipment and avoid using it.
• Maintain safety signage and safe storage of materials.

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Operative to join our team at Radius Divis Street, Belfast. Day to day you will be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of your area, as allocated by the Line Manager to the required standard.

Working Pattern:

• 4 hours per week
• 2 hours per day, twice a week
• Cleaning must be between 08:30 - 17:00

The Role:

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times

The Person:

• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
• Are customer focused with good eye for detail
• Good time management skills
• Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed.
• Leads by example and lives our values.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
