Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join the team at Lough View Integrated Primary, Belfast. The role offers 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–6:30pm, with pro rata annual leave and a range of employee benefits.

Join a family-oriented firm focused on service and safety. You will provide cleaning services across offices and facilities, ensuring high standards, stock control, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Must have access to a vehicle.
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors is advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic statutory training and clear communication to understand safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cleaning services across offices and meeting rooms.
• Respond to customer requirements promptly and professionally.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and kept clean.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety rules.
• Report hazards and incidents to line manager.
• Keep offices and facilities clean and presentable.

Working Pattern

The Role

• Providing the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility
• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional manner
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets
• Ensuring all stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility
• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines used during hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers, or hazards you encounter to your Line Manager
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager

The Person

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Applicant must have access to a vehicle
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
