Job summary

Mount Charles Group are recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join the Radius Drumcor site in Newtownabbey. You will be responsible for cleaning the area and meeting required standards, with daily tasks and periodic duties.

Role involves safe handling of cleaning products, proper use of equipment, and reporting faults. The position supports a family-oriented business with a focus on quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience.
• Customer focused with good eye for detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH guidelines.
• Be knowledgeable about cleaning equipment and follow training for safe use.
• Report faulty equipment and maintain clean, safe stores and signage.

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Operativesto join our team at Radius Drumcor, Newtownabbey. Day to day you will be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of your area, as allocated by the Line Manager to the required standard.

Working Pattern

• 16 Hours per week
• Monday to Friday

The Role

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times

The Person

• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
• Are customer focused with good eye for detail
• Good time management skills
• Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed.
• Leads by example and lives our values.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
