Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Belfast is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Peter Pan Radius. This role focuses on keeping offices, kitchen and rest areas clean to high standards with attention to safety and efficiency.

Working pattern is 16.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday afternoons. We offer paid holidays pro rata, pension, financial wellbeing support, training and uniform provision, plus a supportive, family-oriented workplace.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, kitchen and rest areas to required standards, including weekly tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment only after training from Line Manager.
• Report faulty equipment immediately and mark it as such.
• Maintain safety signage and warn customers where possible.
• Keep cleaning stores tidy and equipment stored safely.

Working Pattern:

• 16.5 hours per week
• Monday 12:00pm- 16:00pm
• Tuesday 12:00pm- 15:00pm
• Wedensday 12:00pm - 15:00pm
• Thursday 12:00pm -15:00pm
• Friday 12:00pm-15:30pm

The Role:

• Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times
