Job summary

Mount Charles Group is hiring a Cleaning Operative for Friends School, Lisburn. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday, 15:30–19:30 (20 hours per week), with benefits including holidays, pension and development opportunities.

You will maintain a clean, safe working environment in offices, kitchens and rest areas and support the team with flexible, can-do attitudes. Ideal candidates are detail-focused, customer service oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, kitchens and rest areas to required standards, including weekly tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment with proper training.
• Report any faulty equipment immediately.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required.

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team based at Friends School, Lisburn. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

The Role:

• Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards – this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH).
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any faulty equipment, mark as faulty and do not use.
• Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage.
• Any and all other cleaning duties.
