Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our Belfast team. This role focuses on ensuring offices, kitchen and rest areas are cleaned to required standards and delivered with attention to detail.

The role offers flexible hours (15 per week, Monday to Friday, 15:30–18:30) with rewards including holidays pro rata, pension, and training opportunities. Access NI check applies; ex-offenders policy allows eligible applicants.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas (offices, kitchen, rest areas) to required standards, including weekly tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Ensure knowledge of cleaning equipment and use as trained.
• Report faulty equipment immediately.
• Carry out other cleaning duties as required.

Working Pattern

The Role

• Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage
• Any and all other cleaning duties
