Job description

The role of the Student Retention Manager is to lead the Student Retention team supporting our faculties. The key responsibilities include developing, managing, and maintaining effective programs for re-engaging students, developing policies and procedures to ensure student engagement and retention, and working with internal and external stakeholders. The manager will also develop and deliver a comprehensive Student Retention strategy aligned with GBS KPIs and manage the Senior Retention Officers and their teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for retention officers.
  • Act as the key contact with faculties and develop strategies to improve performance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to KPIs.
  • Ensure operational processes are effective.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to keep students engaged.
  • Monitor student referrals and ensure timely handling.
  • Prepare data reports for management and academic leaders.
  • Manage, develop, and review staff performance.
  • Review student retention services annually and their impact.
  • Promote a student-first culture with high ownership of student issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; knowledge of PBI is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work independently within organizational goals.
