Job summary

Dean's York Garden Centre is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead a great team and bring prominent retail displays to life in Stockton-on-the-Forest, Yorkshire. You will drive department sales, own visual merchandising, and support across departments while providing exceptional customer service.

The role is 38 hours per week with alternate weekends, offering opportunities to develop creative merchandising ideas and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leadership experience in retail.
• Strong flair for visual merchandising, styling and product presentation.
• Ability to influence customer purchasing decisions through merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive sales within your department, ensuring targets are met.
• Provide support across other departments when required.
• Own visual merchandising across key retail areas with attractive displays.
• Plan and implement seasonal promotions, product launches and feature displays.
• Maintain high presentation standards; ensure displays are fresh and commercial.
• Coach and develop your team to deliver excellent customer service and high performance.
• Handle returns in line with company policy and process efficiently.
• Deputize for the Manager in their absence and support day-to-day operations.
• Support the Christmas department during the festive season with decorations and trees.
