Job summary

The Works Stores Ltd. is seeking a Retail Store Manager in the Guildford area to lead a store team, drive commercial performance and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. You’ll own store operations from people to standards, delivering exceptional service and managing stock, safety, and presentation.

You’ll develop your team, use data to improve results, and collaborate with area and central teams to implement initiatives while representing The Works values on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management with team leadership.
• Strong communication and planning skills for store operations.
• Ability to use data and store metrics to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve store targets.
• Drive store performance and ownership of metrics using data insights.
• Ensure high standards of visual merchandising, stock availability and store presentation.
• Recruit, onboard and train new team members for a high performing team.
• Manage rotas, payroll and day-to-day operational tasks.
• Maintain health & safety, cash handling and loss prevention policies.
• Foster inclusive team culture and development.
• Collaborate with Area Manager and central teams on initiatives.
