Job summary

JG Foods t/a Grape Tree in Wilmslow is seeking an ambitious Retail Store Manager to lead our team, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a well-stocked, clean, and inviting shop. You will report to the Retail Operations Manager and drive sales while upholding company standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong stock control, cash handling, and staff supervision skills, with a hands-on approach and a focus on achieving targets and customer satisfaction.

• Strong stock control, ordering and banking experience desired.
• Organised, hands-on management style with people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations to ensure stock is well stocked, priced correctly and rotated.
• Operate the till in line with company instructions and handle cash securely.
• Provide high standards of customer service and maintain hygiene and safety.
• Supervise staff, ensure compliance with store rules and smooth running of the store.
• Flexibility to work the store hours Mon–Sun and promote sales.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who can represent our Company in our WILMSLOW store. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager and typically your duties will include, You will provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager of Grape Tree, you need to ensure that the store is well stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave the store with a lasting image to ensure they keep returning.

• a) Strong understanding of stock control ie ordering goods, dealing with deliveries and banking monies
• b) You must be a hands on manager
• c) Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions
• d) Provide highest possible standard of customer service.
• e) Ensure that the shelves are well filled/stocked and faced up at all times.
• f) Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation including the removal from sale of any goods exceeding the ``use by`` date and advise management of any ``Best before`` issues.
• g) Ensure the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
• h) Observe company rules at all times and report any breach of company rules witnessed.
• i) Ensuring all staff fully co-operate to ensure the smooth running of the store.

• d) Organised & practically minded, be able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in
• e) You may have experience of the following: Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc.

The store trades Monday to Sunday and it is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to work within these hours
