Job summary

JG Foods t/a Grape Tree in Kingsbridge is seeking an ambitious Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations, deliver excellent customer service and represent the brand with enthusiasm. You will ensure the store is well stocked, clean and compliant with hygiene and safety standards, operate the till, manage stock control and rotation, and supervise staff to meet targets.

Flexibility to work across the store's Monday–Sunday hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in food retail preferred.
• Good cash handling skills.
• Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.
• Organised, practical and hands-on approach.
• Retail Store Supervisor/Manager experience is a plus.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who can represent our Company in our KINGSBRIDGE STORE. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager and typically your duties will include, You will provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager of Grape Tree, you need to ensure that the store is well stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave the store with a lasting image to ensure they keep returning.

• a) Strong understanding of stock control ie ordering goods, dealing with deliveries and banking monkeys
• b) You must be a hands on manager
• c) Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions
• d) Provide highest possible standard of customer service.
• e) Ensure that the shelves are well filled/stocked and faced up at all times.
• f) Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation including the removal from sale of any goods exceeding the ``use by`` date and advise management of any ``Best before`` issues.
• g) Ensure the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
• h) Observe company rules at all times and report any breach of company rules witnessed.
• i) Ensuring all staff fully co-operate to ensure the smooth running of the store.

• e) You may have experience of the following: Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc.

The store trades Monday to Sunday and it is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to work within these hours
