Job summary

JG Foods t/a Grape Tree Limited Felixstowe is seeking a Retail Store Manager for a 30-hour week to lead the team and deliver excellent service. You will ensure stock, cleanliness, and a welcoming store image, while driving sales and promotions.

Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, you will supervise staff, handle till procedures, manage deliveries, pricing, and stock rotation, and ensure safety and hygiene standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills, preferably in food retail.
• Strong staff supervision and organisational abilities.
• Organised and practical, ready to roll up sleeves and work.
• Experience as Retail Store Supervisor/Manager or in related roles.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of stock control, including ordering, deliveries and banking money.
• Hands-on manager who leads by example.
• Operate the till in accordance with company instructions.
• Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
• Ensure shelves are well filled, stocked and faced.

RETAIL STORE MANAGER FELIXSTOWE – 30 HOURS PER WEEK

Established in 2012 Grape Tree currently has 206 stores in the UK

We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who can represent our Company in our FELIXSTOWE store. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager and typically your duties will include:

ROLE:

You will provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager of Grape Tree, you need to ensure that the store is well stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave the store with a lasting image to ensure they keep returning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong understanding of stock control ie ordering goods, dealing with deliveries and banking monies
• You must be a hands on manager
• Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions
• Provide highest possible standard of customer service.
• Ensure that the shelves are well filled/stocked and faced up at all times.
• Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation including the removal from sale of any goods exceeding the ``use by`` date and advise management of any ``Best before`` issues.
• Ensure the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
• Observe company rules at all times and report any breach of company rules witnessed.
• Ensuring all staff fully co-operate to ensure the smooth running of the store.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
• Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills
• Organised & practically minded, be able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in
• You may have experience of the following: Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc.

The store trades Monday to Sunday and it is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to work within these hours
