Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd. is looking for a proactive Shift Manager to join our stores in Walkden.

You will start as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store, while supporting the management team to deliver excellent availability and service for customers. As a Shift Manager you will lead by example, oversee daily operations, plan shifts, coach colleagues, and ensure cash handling and security policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: clear focus on delivering great availability for customers.
• Sell a £1 & save a £1 to help drive sales.
• Deliver on all actions set by your line manager.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: support Talking Shop Rep, engage team, foster inclusive culture and up-skilling.
• Doing the right processes and doing them right: follow cash handling and security policies, provide best digital service via One Best Way.
• Leadership: lead to get the best from your team and deliver for customers: be approachable, respectful, enthusiastic, waste-conscious, care for business and people.
