Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Shift Lead to help run daily store operations, lead a customer-focused team and ensure excellent service. You’ll be scheduled with posted hours, manage shifts, and act as a key point of contact for the team.

Relevant leadership experience in retail and a passion for great service are essential. The role supports flexible working and offers a strong benefits package.

• Experience in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong service mindset and ability to meet customer needs.
• Clear communicator who motivates and inspires the team.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
