Job summary

One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is seeking a Shift Leader to join our fast paced retail team. You will run duty shifts, coordinate a small team, and ensure the store is clean, well presented and ready for customers.

You’ll focus on delivering great service, coaching colleagues on the shop floor, handle opening and closing duties, manage queues, and act as keyholder in absence of the Store Manager. Post Office Local checks may apply for some stores.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Opening/closing the store and completing duty cover, ensuring decisions are right for customers, colleagues and safety.
• Being the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day operational queries.
• Supporting the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Making sure the store is always clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Prioritise the replenishment of products that matter to our customers.
• Taking immediate action for any overcharges and preventing any reoccurrence.
